CBE
One year training to appear for CBE test
For those students who completed a full Telugu course outside of Bhaarathi Vidyalayam, or were under self study, and wanted to earn the required 2 foreign language credits in their school (usually before they graduate senior high school), we provide a one-year training course to prepare them to succeed in their attempt at Credit by Exam in Telugu. However, the student will have to pass an entry test that involves basic reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension of Telugu.

Levels
L0, L1, L2, L3, L4, L5
Students can enter the program either at L0 or L1 depending on their age. Students entering in L0 will have 6 levels, and those entering in L1 will have 5 levels to complete. Each level is taught live online from September to May.

Is your name Srikaram, Shrikaram, or Bhaarathi?
Our current and future name is Bhaarathi Vidyalayam (Note the two a’s and h in the name). And our website is bhaarathi.org.
Yours is a free school. Is the standard good?
Standard comes with commitment! By eliminating fee, we’ve freed ourselves from direct or indirect conflicts of interest in our service to the language. Our team of teachers, volunteers, and coordinators – all work with service in their heart. We’re preparing some of the best students!
How many years long is your course?
6 years if entering L0, and 5 if entering L1.
We have a Level-0 (తెలుగుబాల) followed by five regular levels: వసంతం (L1), వికాసం (L2), విహారం (L3), వినోదం (L4), విరాజం (L5). A new student younger than 6 is required to enter తెలుగుబాల, the zeroth level . A student 6 or older starts in Level-1. If the student is just 6 years old, and is determined to be not able to cope up with Level-1, then he/she may enter Level-0 as an exception.
How often and when do the classes take place?
Classes take place online on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. There is only one class per week the student attends on one of these three days in the week. For Level-0, the class is of 1.5 hours duration. And for all other levels, the length of each class is 2 hours.
During registration, you may indicate a choice for a class timing – depending on the timings of the Teachers, your choice will be given first preference.
Who teach the classes?
Committed parents like you who come forward and devote a couple of hours per week, and an extra half hour to engage with students, homework, and other academic activities. We provide some of the best tools for teaching, and we train everyone regardless of their preparedness – to become the best teachers.

Where can I register my student?
Registration is via the web. When the registrations are open, a link will appear on the homepage prominently.

Are the online classes free?
Yes, But students may lose their registration and may not even be able to re-enter if their attendance falls below 90%. So we do not recommend registering unless the parents and students are committed to learning Telugu by attending the classes and doing their homework.
Is there a preparatory course for Credit by Exam?
If your student already learned Telugu elsewhere or by self study, and likes to get a one-year training to prepare for a two-credit foreign language requirement in your child’s school, then we have a one-year CBE course. The student will be screened by a Test before being selected for the course.
