As a parent, I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt appreciation for the Telugu classes, the teacher, and the administrative support. Your patience and enthusiasm in teaching Telugu have made a significant impact on my child’s learning experience.
Compared to other paid Telugu schools, the quality of education and support we have received here, despite it being a free program, is truly outstanding.

Bhaarathi Vidyalayam is the name of our school. Our website is https://bhaarathi.org. Bhaarathi means Saraswathi, and also means light, knowledge, word, speech, and eloquence.
Standard comes with commitment. By eliminating fee, we free ourselves from direct or indirect conflicts of interest in our service to the language. Our committed teachers, volunteers, and coordinators work with service in their hearts.
The course is 6 years if entering L0, and 5 years if entering L1. L0 is తెలుగుబాల, followed by వసంతం, వికాసం, విహారం, వినోదం, and విరాజం. A graduation certification is awarded for students successfully passing all levels L1-L5. Additionally there's an extra optional advanced level విజయం (L6) for those who want to bridge the gap between being a Telugu student and being an adult in Telugu language and literature - taking that missing step for the future. A student 6 or older starts in Level-1. If the student is just 6 years old, and is determined to be not able to cope up with Level-1, then he/she may enter Level-0 as an exception.
Classes take place online on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. There is one class per week. Level-0 classes are 1.5 hours. Other levels are 2 hours. During registration, you may indicate a choice for a class timing – depending on the timings of the Teachers, your choice will be given first preference.
Committed parents like you who come forward and devote a couple of hours per
week, and an extra half hour to engage with students, homework, and other
academic activities. We provide some of the best tools for teaching, and we
train everyone regardless of their preparedness – to become the best teachers.
So we invite you and encourage you to consider teaching at Bhaarathi
Vidyalayam. If you have interest and dedication, then we’ll do the rest to make
you the best teacher!
Registration is via the web and is on first-come-first-serve basis. When the
registrations are open, a link will appear on the homepage prominently.
If you would like to receive an email when the registration is open, please
visit us in July and look for “Pre-Enroll” button on this page.
But we strongly discourage parents from registering their children if they only
have a passing interest in Telugu, and cannot commit for disciplined learning
and be with us for the long journey.
Yes, But students may lose their registration and may not even be able to re-enter if their attendance falls below 90%. So parents and students must be committed to learning Telugu by attending the classes and doing their homework.
If your student already learned Telugu elsewhere or by self study, and likes to get a one-year training to prepare for a two-credit foreign language requirement in your child’s school (consult with your student counselor for more information), then we have a one-year CBE course. The student must be in 8th grade or above and will be screened by a Test before being selected for the course.
