Mission:
Bhaarathi Vidyalayam imparts skills for speaking, comprehending, reading, and writing of Telugu language, and helping in understanding and appreciation of the universal Indian cultural skills and philosophy to seekers of all ages for free by pursuing a path of selfless, and dedicated teaching and maintaining excellence in quality of curriculum. Accomplishing the mission: The mission is supported by voluntary donations, and qualified voluntary teachers, and voluntary coordinators running regional centers. To continue to use the Bhaarathi Vidyalayam brand, a regional center must fulfill the organization’s standards in its mission, and execution.
Why Bhaarathi Vidyalayam?
Telugu language is one of the ancient languages still spoken in India and many people living across the world. The language continues to flourish enormously with contributions from great philosophers, musicians, singers, actors, writers, and poets. However the newer generations are losing touch with the language skills, in particular speaking and thinking skills. This lack of sufficient ability to speak, understand, and think in Telugu makes them miss the great treasure of philosophy, music, and poetry buried in the culture. This state of affairs is a great disservice to the world. Additionally most kids who are interested in learning the Telugu language of current day are not born in an environment that is ideal to learn Telugu. This is despite the fact there is a thin segment of Telugu speaking people who are well versed in Telugu literature and philosophy. Unfortunately this is not translating into a materially beneficial skill-transfer of Telugu language to the next generation.
Bhaarathi Vidyalayam aims to correct this situation, and has taken a radical decision to offer the language classes for free, and rely on donations of kind-hearted souls for its daily operations. This effort in this direction should indeed be considered as a mandate upon those who have seen the beauty and enjoyed the great music passed on by vaaggeyakaaraas, and benefited from the philosophy preserved in the writings of Telugu language.
Telugu people are spread across the world, and in deed across the modern professions, and we call all of them to do their might to preserve the Telugu language in return for the many benefits that they received from the music, writing, and poetry. Many indeed are contributing in their own way, and we are proud to have found a path that we think would make a difference in causing kids learn, speak, and think, and eventually enjoy the music, writings, and philosophy of the Telugu language.
We invite you to join our cause, and make this your cause as well. All the people working at Bhaarathi Vidyalayam are volunteers, and work for no direct or indirect monetary benefit, or no hidden agendas. Students learn free. With sufficient contributions, we intend to open physical face-to-face classes as well – all keeping in mind our mission of making kids speak, comprehend, read, and write Telugu.
Please enroll your kids in Bhaarathi Vidyalayam, join the voluntary team of teachers, and contribute your might.
